This notice explains what personal information we hold about you, why we hold it and what rights you have. We are Absolutely Steaming Ltd, and we are the controller of your personal information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we hold
When you create an account and book with us, we hold:
- your name, email address and phone numbers
- your collection and delivery addresses, including any access instructions you give us, such as where to leave a bag or a key-safe code — these are only shown to our staff on the day of your collection or delivery
- your garment preferences and any notes you add to a booking
- your booking history
- whether you have agreed to receive marketing emails, and when
- technical records of your visits, such as the date and time you logged in, kept to keep the website secure
Why we use it
We use your details to take, collect, process and deliver your bookings. This is necessary for our contract with you.
We send you emails about your own bookings and account, such as confirmations, reminders and password resets. We do this because it is in our legitimate interest to run the service well, and it is what you'd expect.
We only send you marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them. You can change your mind at any time in your account.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the service — our email provider and our hosting provider — who act on our instructions and must keep it secure.
We don't take card payments online, so we hold no card details. You pay when your clothes are delivered.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as your account is open. When your account is closed, we remove your personal details and keep only a record of past orders that no longer identifies you, which we need for our accounts.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how we use it. To do any of these, contact us.
If you're unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
